How long does window tint take?
Most vehicles take about one to two hours, depending on the number of windows and the film. Homes and businesses vary with the number and size of panes. You get a time estimate with your free quote.
Is window tint legal in Michigan?
Yes, within limits. Under the Michigan Vehicle Code, MCL 257.709, film on the windshield and on the front side windows may only cover the top 4 inches. The rear side windows and the back glass may take tinted film, as long as it isn’t mirror-like (35% reflectance or more). A letter from a physician or optometrist can allow a medical exception.
Rules change, so we go over what’s allowed on your vehicle before we install.
Do I have to take time off work?
Usually not. We’re open until 10 PM on weekdays and until 5 PM on weekends, so most people drop off or book after their shift.
Do you come to me?
For many jobs, yes. Call or text to check whether we can come to you, or bring the vehicle to the shop at 604 E Bay St in East Tawas.
Can you tint my home or business too?
Yes: home windows, storefronts and office glass. Film can affect some window manufacturers’ warranties, so we talk it through before we start. See home tint and commercial tint.
What warranty comes with the film?
Film warranties come from the film manufacturer and differ by product. Ask for the written terms for the film you’re considering before you decide.
